The truth of God's goodness is most clearly seen when we look at the cross. When we experience bad things here on earth, the enemy will try and tell us that God isn't good, but that isn't the case. The cross alone says God is good.

This message focuses on four places for us to look as we prepare ourselves to take communion - back, in, around, and up.

The sovereignty of God and the free will of man - can they both exist together? Surely, our God is sovereign, but does that mean that man has no say in how his life plays out? Is everything that happens all part of God's plan? 

Water - it's essential! We need physical water in order to live, and we need the living water Jesus offers if we're going to live forever. This message focuses on two women, the Samaritan woman at the well and a woman named Agnes.

This message came about after watching the State of the Union address this past Tuesday evening. It gives us five reminders, taken from the parable of the wheat and tares found in Matthew 13.

Some have said that 'if' and faith don't mix. 'If' is a sign of doubt and unbelief, and God won't respond .

 

God can. God will. But even if . . . This has been simplified, but you can find it in the 3rd chapter of Daniel. It doesn't come across as the type of high-level faith taught by some, but it preceded one of the greatest miracles ever recorded.

The message on the scoreboard during the halftime show of the Super Bowl was one most everyone would support - love over hate. So why all the division? In this message, I add another scoreboard to the field for some clarification.

Many teams have returned to the field after halftime to win a game that seemed hopeless and out of reach. It matters what takes place in the locker room during halftime. This is true in football, and it's also true in faith and life.

This is the final message of a 3-part series on lasting change. The three points in this message can be challenging, but they are needed to keep us falling back into the same old patterns and habits.
